My Big Fat Lie or quite possibly an exaggeration.

You know how sometimes your emotions can go into overdrive, especially when you are scared or angry? Then, when you are recalling the event that made you emotional, sometimes it seems a lot worse than it really was?

Here is an example: Let's just say you do not really like to fly. You find it a bit frightening. Let's pretend that when you landed, the plane fishtailed a bit. Pretty scary, huh? What are the chances you'll remember exactly what happened? When your body and brain are full of fear-induced adrenaline, are you going to say:
a) Wow. The plane just fishtailed a little bit, but I am safe.
or are you going to say:
b) Oh my God! The plane just slid sideways. I almost died!

Well, I think we all know what I said...
I went with answer b, when I really should have stuck with a.
So, this is for everyone who heard about my flying home near-death experience...

Sorry.
