Kaellyn and I went to Waldameer the other day. It is really cheap since she works there.
We were having a great time, but we started to think they may close the park early because there was thunder and lightning.
We popped into the gift shop to look at hats and it started pouring. When I say pouring, I mean the kind of rain where you pull your car over because you can't see. The kind of rain that hurts. The kind of rain that soaks you to the skin in 20 seconds flat. Anyone who has been in an Arizona monsoon season or lived in the South knows what kind of rain I'm talking about.
The rain let up a little so we decided hey, why not walk around in it? We figured they would close and we had to walk to the car anyway.
We looked over to the Wipeout, and it was running. In the rain! Luckily the park's coolest ride operator was running the ride. At that point, it wasn't raining that bad, so we decided to hop on. Once we were on, the floodgates opened again. I mean, it was POURING! We all just stayed on the ride. Five times.
Aside from the raindrops feeling like rocks hitting us in the face, it was the best experience I have ever had on a ride. We ended up riding it 17 times that night.
